“If you write shaladin then you’re a pedophile.”
Hmm. Okay.
If J.K. Rowling wrote classism, genocide and terrorism then she must be classist, fascist and a terrorist.
If Cassandra Clare wrote about incest (even if it wasn’t true, it was believed to be for half a book), then she’s into incest.
If James Patterson wrote about teenagers on the run being human experiments, then he must be into human experimentation, particularly on children.
Fiction =/= reality.
In ANY situation.
That’s the same logic middle-aged moms used in the 60s and 70s to justify burning comic books and banning their kids from reading them because they “encouraged violence.”
That’s the same logic they used to justify why there’s school shootings, because “video games are violent.”
It’s bullshit. There’s no correlation between violence and comic books/video games.
You CAN write something and NOT support it in real life.
It’s called telling fantasy from reality.
Something most of you don’t seem to be able to do, considering you think it’s okay to threaten someone’s LIFE over a fictional show about fictional people.
