ok look, i’m not religious at all but i had a catholic school education and a very religious mother so something really irritate the hell out of me…

the twelve days of christmas are not a count down to christmas day, that’s what advent is for

the twelve days, or ‘twelvetide’ are from dec 25 to jan 5, with decorations needing to be removed before the twelfth night because it’s bad luck afterwards (tho that depends if you leave them up until candlemas or not)
